Use Design assisted Cabrilog in optimizing its web-based software interface helping schoolchildren to discover geometry and mathematics by using 3D modeling.

The interface concept is based on the metaphor of an exercise book for schoolchildren. One of the project’s goals was to elaborate this metaphor visually without becoming too figurative.

The book had to be equipped by a number of easily accessible tools and offer contextual user guidance. This allowed the pupil to quickly adopt the software and required only a minimal amount of training. The pupil was therefore able to concentrate on the given activity.

The challenge was to conceive an interface that:

- works both for schoolchildren and teachers, allowing the latter to prepare classes and exercises;

- can be integrated with zero branding of its own. The design needed to be sufficiently neutral to allow integrating in any possible educational portal.
