EDF and the CNAM Museum involved Use Design in the conception of an interactive console allowing the users to discover a nuclear power station.

This interface, coupled with a power station model, had to be attractive and interesting for museum visitors.

To understand the different user types and their behavior, Use Design observed visitors in the museum and decided to concentrate on two main types: child and senior. These user types are each other’s opposite in usability needs (differences in memory capabilities, interface usage, graphic environment…)

Use Design proposed a simple navigation based on a linear horizontal structure, as when visiting a museum.
